LG TONE Free FN7 True Wireless Earbuds

Hot on the heel of the bacteria-killing charging case-equipped LG TONE Free FN6 is the LG HBS-FN7. Like its sibling we saw in July, the LG TONE Free FN7 also touts Meridian-tune premium sound and the strange but welcome hygienic UVnano charging case.

In case you missed it, the charging uses ultraviolet light to eliminate up to 99.9 percent of E. coli and S. aureus bacteria on the earbuds’ inner mesh. Aesthetically, the FN6 and the FN7 looks identical, save for a very slight colorway difference.

What sets the new FN7 is, it has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in addition to the passive noise isolation the earbuds already provide. For FN7, it uses three microphones on each earbud to monitor sound waves coming from all directions and produces matching frequencies to cancel out the noise.

Other features include Meridian Audio’s Digital Signal Processing and user selectable EQ settings (via the companion app), 2-layered dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.1, SBC and AAC Bluetooth audio codec, and a 7 hours of playback with ANC off or 5 hours with ANC on, and a total of 21 hours (ANC off) or 15 hours (ANC on) when used with the charging case.
