If you in the market for the ultimate gaming monitor, you may want to drop everything and take a look at the new LG UltraGear 27GN950 4K IPS Monitor. The LG UltraGear 27GN950 promised 4K resolution, lightning speed, superior color reproduction, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility.
Most importantly, it is the “world’s first 4K IPS 1 millisecond Gray-to-Gray (GTG)” gaming monitor. The monitor further features VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC) technology that delivers virtually lossless 4K UHD images in 10-bit color with a refresh range of 144 Hz via a single DisplayPort cable.
A few other worthy mentions include 27-inch Nano IPS display, 400 nits brightness, 1.07B colors, support hardware calibration, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
As far as aesthetic goes, the LG UltraGear 27GN950 4K IPS Monitor as beautiful, if not more beautiful, than its predecessors. Also, it has got a new “wings” emblem which LG said was designed “with victory in gaming in mind.”
Along with a gorgeous design, comes a stand that is height adjustable as well as pivots and tilts. Connectivity aspect, it gets a pair of HDMI, a DisplayPort, a USB 3.0 port, and an audio out jack.
The LG UltraGear 27GN950 4K IPS Monitor is expected to be available starting today across multiple markets. I believe this monitor sells for US$799.99 in stateside. Not sure about the pricing for other markets, though.
