wireless speakers, be it Bluetooth or whatever, are a dime a dozen and so we are not going to pretend that this Logitech newest entrant, the Logitech X300 Mobile Wireless Stereo Speaker, to the overcrowded portable speaker segment is anything special. actually, it does have a few tricks up its sleeve. looking at the product image, you might have noticed the slightly angled speaker face (upward and outward) and this design is not mere aesthetic; it is a hint of the driver configuration beneath the grille. under the hood, the X300 features specially angled drivers that is supposed to provide an expansive sound spectrum, “with precise bass response and detailed mids and highs.” and it is, of course, blessed with Bluetooth technology, enabling you wirelessly stream audio from up to 30 feet away, while a built-in lithium-ion battery offers up to five hours of continuous playback.
there is also a 3.5mm audio output jack catering to non Bluetooth-enabled sources and like most Bluetooth speakers available today, it can also double as a speakerphone too. we can’t help but to notice the obvious design influence of the UE in the X300 and we were surprised it didn’t fall under the UE brand name. perhaps Logitech is really eager to have a piece of your summer parties action, hence the Logitech branding and the quick availability, along with an affordable price point of just $69.99.
