Good news for fans of Mobile Suit Gundam. Free-to-play team battle action game based on the Mobile Suit Gundam series of the Universal Century, Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2, is arriving to PC via Steam. Prior to the game’s launch, Bandai Namco Entertainment America is inviting players to join the Network Test starting on April 14.
Unfortunately, though, it looks like all the spots are filled. However, you can still request access and be notified when the developer is ready for more participants. Meanwhile, you are more than welcome to add the game to your wishlist on Steam.
“MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2 features intense 6v6 online team battles, with players from all around the world fighting for survival as they pilot their favorite Mobile Suits. The free-to-play game immerses players in epic battles set in the Gundam universe, whether on land or in space. Mobile Suits are not the only heroes in these battle theaters.”
Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 is more than just mechas slugging out; it also involved Infantry Battles, in which pilots get to fight alongside their Mobile Suits by doing stuff like placing bombs in enemy bases, requesting fire support, and launching RPGs at giant mechas. Moreover, the Mobile Suits are customizable using DP earned in the battle.
As for the Network Test, it will be held in two sessions with the first running from April 14 to 16, and the second session will commence on April 21.
