A laptop is designed for on-the-go use, but back home or in the office, you will find it lacking in some areas. One of the most obvious is the height, plus it can get really hot sometimes. This is where the Mossion M1 laptop stand comes in. It is an angled laptop stand with built-in active cooling—and then some.

Clearly designed with reference to Apple’s aesthetic, the Mossion M1 features a 5,500 RPM fan in the stand to quickly cool the laptop placed on it. However, it does not provide extra lift to create more clearance between the laptop and the surface for better airflow underneath. If it did, I am sure the cooling effect would be greater.
The fan has three speeds to suit different loads and promises to cool without making a din. It claims a 40.5-49.2 dB noise level, which is near-silence to a soft computer hum. Anyways, this gadget not only solves the height issue by raising the laptop; it also provides a supposedly ideal 25-degree angle. This angle is fixed, though, so it may not be a perfect fit for users of all heights or different chair and table setups.
The Mossion M1 is also a device that falls into the “one less thing to own” category. The chunky base doubles as a premium Bluetooth speaker featuring a 2.75-inch Kevlar full-range driver, dual passive radiators, a 30W TI Class-D amplifier, and Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity. This setup promises crisp highs, smooth mids, and powerful bass—whether you’re watching a movie, listening to music, or making video calls.

That’s not all. It is also a USB hub. Around the back, you’ll find four USB 3.0 ports: two USB-A and two USB-C (one of which connects to the laptop). Meanwhile, its solid aluminum top board has a curved stopper with a notch to keep the laptop in place while allowing one-handed opening. The surface fits most laptops, including MacBooks and Windows machines up to 18 inches. Rounding up the feature list is a 360° rotating base.
The Mossion M1 Laptop Stand is currently being funded on Kickstarter with campaign prices starting at US$129. Not cheap for a stand, but then again, it is more than a stand—it’s a 4-in-1 device. The campaign has yet to meet its US$10,000 funding goal, but it is close.
