Calling out fans of LEGO Star Wars fans. This is one post you don’t want to miss. The Danish toymaker has revealed a number of Star Wars sets that are going to have your wallet begging for mercy. Among the sets revealed are a 730-piece LEGO Star Wars 75218 X-Wing Starfighter and a new 1,239-piece Sandcrawler (LEGO Star Wars 75220 Sandcrawler). The former is an interesting offering because, not only it is another X-Wing, but it is one that is rocking some cool features.
Notable features of the 75218 X-Wing Starfighter include retractable landing gear, an opening minifig cockpit, stud shooters on the side, spring-loaded shooters on the wing, and a lever function to transit the wings from cruise to attack and vice versa. While minifigs are standard issues, it is the extra stickers and tiles that came with the set that make this an extra interesting set. The extra stickers and tiles are there to let you turn Luke Skywalker’s Red Five into Biggs Darklighter’s Red Three. And it is only going for $79.99 now on Amazon.
As for the 75220 Sandcrawler, it is obviously not as impressive as the UCS edition, but still it has got everything that makes it the Jawas’ iconic ride on Tatooine. It touts features like an opening 2-minifig cockpit, lowering ramp, steering tracks and removable panels that reveal a droid prison and articulated crane. The LEGO Star Wars 75220 Sandcrawler set comes with Luke Skywalker, a RA-7 droid, two Jawa, and R5-A2 medical droids minifigures. It measures 7” tall, 12” long and 4” wide. It is also available on Amazon at $139.99.
