I sure did not see this coming. Transformers are no strangers to crossovers. From G.I. Joe to Monster Hunter to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—they’ve done it all. But teaming up with the National Football League? That’s a first.

Hasbro has just announced that Transformers is partnering with the NFL to launch a new, first-of-its-kind line of NFL Transformers action figures. No likeness to NFL superstars, though. Instead, these figures are football-loving Autobots that transform into a football helmet. In 23 steps, your robot becomes a display-worthy helmet.
But the real highlight, if you ask me, is the bot mode. Each figure is a full-on football-themed robot, complete with a mini football it can hold and, yes, a tiny wearable helmet—for the bot, of course.
The first wave includes Dallas Cowboys Starblitz, Pittsburgh Steelers Steelsmash, Green Bay Packers Tundra Prime, and Kansas City Chiefs KC-59. That’s right. First wave. More teams are expected to join the lineup. Hopefully with a little more consistency than the G.I. Joe collab.
No word yet on the price. The figure has a retail price of US$24.99 each. Pre-order starts on April 22 at midnight ET on Amazon with availability in Fall 2025.)
