Imagine having a superpower that lets you mute loud noises like gunshooting while allowing you to hear others speaking. Well, this superpower is now possible thanks to the NITECORE NE20 Bluetooth Electronic Hearing Protection Earbuds.
While the NE20 is primarily designed for shooting, it is also good for any situation where the noise level is above 85 dB or more. The NE20 utilizes double hearing protection.
It has both passive and active noise cancellation. The latter is made possible with an integrated ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) chip designed to automatically reduce low-frequency noises higher than 85 DB while the former is achieved through extended memory foam which can effectively reduce high-frequency noises such as human voices.
But what makes the NE20 shine is that it is specially designed for shooting which features dubbed Fast Reaction Technology that can provide excellent noise reduction with a speed of 0.1s at the moment of firing while even a continuous noise reduction during the shooting in rapid succession.

The NE20 is available with 3 user modes. Standard Transparency Mode: Outside sounds will be amplified slightly; Enhanced Transparency Mode: Outside sounds will be amplified more; Silent Mode is for canceling the outside noises.
Other features include up to 32 hours of operation (earbuds: 8 hours; charging case: 24 hours), 26 dB NRR (Noise Reduction Rating), Bluetooth 5.3 technology, and IPX5 rated.
The NITECORE NE20 Bluetooth Electronic Hearing Protection Earbuds come in a tailor-made charging case with a snap-fit design that prevents accidental activation with an anti-slip magazine texture.
The case has a portable back clip which is suited for attaching to the MOLLE system, allowing it to be carried on the tactical belt, backpack, and tactical vest.
I don’t believe the NITECORE NE20 Bluetooth Electronic Hearing Protection Earbuds are available in the U.S. but if you are so inclined, you may find it be sold on Aliexpress for about US$72.
