nubia Red Magic 3 was announced not too long ago, but already, there is a new model. Known as nubia Red Magic 3S, this gaming smartphone from ZTE-owned nubia gets a few upgrades, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, UFS 3.0 storage and an improved liquid cooling system.
The rest of the spec sheet details are pretty much a carry over from the nubia Red Magic 3 announced in May and it includes a 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90 Hz refresh rate (and 240 Hz touch refresh rate) and a single camera main snapper, a Sony IMX586 48 MP sensor with dual-tone LED flash.
While it may be a lone camera, the 48 MP sensor is capable of 1,920 fps slo-mo videoing, as well as 8K videoing. Over at the front, there is 16 MP selfie camera.
The new nubia Red Magic 3S is offered in a choice 8 or 12 GB dual channel LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB onboard storage. As before, it has fancy RGB lighting and air intake and hot air explosion around the back.
Other details include IP55 rating, 3D dual-speaker that supports 3D surround sound, DTS 7.1, and DTS XU1tra, physical fingerprint sensor (on the back), and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 27W Power Delivery charging. nubia said, just 10 minutes of charging would yield an hour of gaming time.
nubia Red Magic 3S Gaming Smartphone is now available to China market with a starting price of 2,999 yuan (which works to be around US$427).
The official nubia China website only stocks the 8 GB + 128 GB. But both 8 GB + 128 GB and the 12 GB + 256 GB are being sold at JD.com.
