our urge to share is immense and that sharing doesn’t just stops at photos or videos but it goes on to music as well, which prompted us to blast our music through the pathetic speaker of our mobile devices. at the end of the day, it just makes the otherwise sweet sound worst and annoying others, which is not what we want. unless you fancy the latter situation, you will need a little aid from a good portable external speaker. one like the NuForce Cube. packed within this 2″ cube speaker is a headphone amplifier, a high performance speaker, and an audiophile grade USB Digital Audio Converter. the onboard connectivity includes 3.5mm headphone jack, an auxiliary jack and a mini B USB port, which should be ample enough to cover most of the sources available today. however, what captures our attention are two things: the first is its built-in USB digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that bypasses your computer’s onboard DAC for a true digital music experience and the second, is an optional iPod Nano connector, which allows you to dock your iPod Nano right beside the Cube, turning it into a miniature high-quality music system. the Cube has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery that’s good for up to 8 hours of continuous playback. like most mid- to high-end speaker makers, NuForce does not discloses any technical specs. a rather disturbing trend indeed. anyway, the NuForce Cube can be yours for $119 a pop. check out a few more look after the break.
