Well, that took long enough. We are talking about the Official Pokémon Pokédex iPhone Case. Yes. The official Pokémon iPhone Case. You hear that? Finally, after years of waiting, fans will be able to get their hands on the official offering from Premium Bandai.
Like the home-brewed example we saw three years ago, the Official Pokémon Pokédex iPhone Case is designed to look like the Pokédex (like, dun, obviously!) as seen in the popular cartoon series.
However, unlike the fan-designed example, this one is designed for Apple smartphone, namely iPhone X, iPhone 6 through to iPhone 8. It, however, cannot fit the new iPhone 11. Awww… That’s a shame, isn’t it?
Also, you have a major fan to be wanting the Official Pokémon Pokédex iPhone Case because, it is not a case that touts “unhindered” access to your phone. We heard it will block the microphone and even the flash.
That’s not it. There’s another caveat: Premium Bandai classifies this as a novelty thing which does not guarantee protection to your phone. Logically, it should as long as it is a case, which the Official Pokémon Pokédex iPhone Case is.
If you can get over non-guarantee in protection, you will also has to get over its size. It is ABS case is major huge and it will bulk up your device significantly. Like I have said, you ought to be a super fan to want your phone in the Official Pokémon Pokédex iPhone Case.
The Official Pokémon Pokédex iPhone Case is open for pre-order in Japan starting October 9, 2019, priced at 3,980 yen (around US$37.14) a pop. Be warned, though, it will only ship in March 2020. Yes. It is a Japan-only thing, again. Like, what’s new, right?
