20 years ago in 2003, the Bentley Continental GT was introduced. It was the first car released by Bentley under Volkswagen AG management, and it was the first Bentley to employ mass production manufacturing techniques which changed the game for Bentley.
To mark two decades since the introduction of the Grand Tourer, Bentley revealed a one-of-one Continental GT Speed created by coachbuilder Mulliner at the Monterey Car Week. The 2023 Continental GT Speed boasts specifications inspired by the very first production Continental GT from 2003.
This being a 2023 Continental GT Speed means power is derived from a 6.0L twin-turbocharged W12 engine that produces 650 horses and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, affording it a 0-60 mph spring in 3.5 seconds (or 0-100 km/h in 3.6) and a top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h).
This modern, third-gen Continental GT Speed also benefits from a 48V electronic anti-roll system that controls the body roll based on the driving situation.
The Mulliner-touched celebratory model wears a Cypress Green paint job and has a Saddle leather and Burr Walnut veneer cabin.
The one-of-one Continental GT Speed boasts an extensive list of features that includes the Blackline, Touring, and Styling Specifications – together bringing polished black exterior bright ware, a suite of technical enhancements, and a carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, diffuser, and subtle boot lip spoiler respectively, before finishing with 22-inch Sports Wheels in unique Dark Gray with self-leveling Mulliner wheel badges.
On the inside, it features Naim for Bentley audio and the Bentley Rotating Display, while the personalized treadplates read, ’20 years of the Continental GT by Bentley Mulliner’. Rounding up the interior celebratory touches are outline representations of the 2003 and 2023 Continental GTs feature on the fascia, center console, and outer sill.
Not surprisingly, this one-of-one has already been sold. It was handed over to the new owner at The Quail. It is not clear how much the unknown owner paid for this exclusive ride.
