Pantasy, the Chinese plastic brick building sets maker best known for its officially licensed Astro Boy sets, has partnered with the maker of the original retro “Elvis” (or Cat King) Little Prince Bluetooth speaker for a scale-up replica of the said speaker.
If you happen to be a user of the Elvis Bluetooth speaker who wished the speaker was larger, well, the Pantasy “Elvis” Little Prince Radio Building Kit (11015) is your dream come true. And yes, it is a brick-built set. While it is not a functioning Bluetooth speaker or even a radio, the inside has a dedicated space for a tiny “Elvis” speaker and so it will kind of turn the brick-built, scale-up version into a functional speaker.
The set has “grilles” that are actual openings that allow the sound to travel out of its brick-built enclosure. So, it really is like an actual Bluetooth speaker.
Alongside the space for the tiny BT speaker is a mini diorama with two scenes: a calm night scene and a jazz stage. The former features a little figure chilling out beside a window to a newspaper in the calm of the night. The diorama is rotatable using the brick-built radio’s knob.
The entire upper enclosure of the “radio” split opens in the center. It uses two hinge systems to open upwards and then sidewards. We noted the hinge system is created using Technic-style beams with holes elements.
Other highlights include a rotatable radio tuning dial, a light-up frequency dial, and an opening around the back for cable access to the Elvis Bluetooth speaker (not included).
When completed the Pantasy “Elvis” Little Prince Radio Building Kit (11015) measures 21 cm wide, 14 cm deep, and 15 cm tall (about 8.27 x 5.51 x 5.90 inches).
The set is on sale in China for 349 yuan (about US$48).
