Philippe Starck, the French design extraordinaire who have lent his touches to countless products across a wide spectrum of disciplines (including hotels for 30 years now!), together with Sebastien Blaquière of Brasserie d’Oit unveiled Starck Beer With OLT. Yes. You heard that right. Philippe Starck can now add beer to his illustrious portfolio. And yes. It is the Starck. The crisp, golden adult beverage is artisan-ally brewed with precise dosages and composition, using carefully selected raw materials, such as malts from organic farming, hops and water from the Boraides of the Aubrac region, to result in a certified organic beer. The beer is than bottled in a contemporary, striking and yet minimalistic glass bottle designed by, you guessed it, the celebrated designer himself.
Philippe Starck x Brasseries d’Oit Starck Beer With OLT is yet another prove that creativity, to the renowned designer, knows no bound. There are no industries the man cannot lend his touches to and that, my friends, is an exemplary spirit and it should very well serve as an inspiration to every designers, irrespective of their field. In other words, when a person has the creativity juice flowing in him or her, industries should be irrelevant. Philippe Starck x Brasseries d’Oit Starck Beer With OLT will be sold by Brasserie d’Oit, however, at this point, it is not known when it will be available and how much it will cost you. We try searching Brasserie d’Oit website, but unfortunately, due to our lack of the understanding of French, we are unable to locate the said designer beer.
Speaking designer beer, Starck Beer With OLT is probably the first true designer beer. I don’t why I feel parched as I was crafting this article. Perhaps, it was sign to pop a cold one?
