Unless you hit the track often or go hundreds of miles on daily basis (or both), a huge-ass rear spoiler will be nothing but part of the macho, go-fast look for your car. But in the case of a GT wing, it can very well serve as a table if you bear to seat on your carbon fiber trunk, or you could just stick it to the wall and use it as a regular shelf, like what Porsche has proposed with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Rear Spoiler Shelf. But look at the shiny surface. Do you bear to put anything on it? Probably not. Then again, I might because I won’t want my $4,230 go to waste. After all, it won’t be doing any downforce duty in static mode, much less stuck to the wall, right?

Touches of Porsche’s luxury is evident with this particular novel shelving, which includes the requisite Porsche typeface logo on the sides, carbon fins in black, and newly developed black, anodized aluminum brackets. Oh wait. It even comes with original auto racing screws for completeness sake. The only thing missing here is the car itself. 4 grand of a shelving is excessive, but considering the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is track-only and hence, comes with a rather hefty price tag, this rear GT wing is perhaps the closest any average joe (with intermediately deep pockets) will get to owning a Cup car. Or you could settle for a RS (or even a toy one)? Your choice.
