if you don’t mind an “aged OS”, the Porsche Design P’9981 BlackBerry Gold might be a good fit for those seeking a perfect balance between three things: opulence, functionality, and design. the Porsche Design P’9981 BlackBerry Gold is essentially the Porsche Design P’9981 BlackBerry introduced back in 2011 coated in a luxurious layer of 24-carat gold. complementing the blinged front is a back clad in leather and a solid gold block with the handset number engraved on it. speaking of handset number, the Gold edition is even more exclusive with just 25 units to go around, and hence the numbering. beneath the thin layer of gold is a stainless steel construction with titanium coating.
other than the aforementioned, the P’9981, in general, is basically a sleeked up BlackBerry Bold with signature touches by Porsche Design and bears feature such as a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8GB of storage, microSD card slot (a 16GB card is included) and a 2.8-inch display that boasts Liquid Graphics technology. we read that the Gold edition is only available upon request, which also means we are completely clueless about its price. but with the original already commanding 1,250 English Pounds, expect this to fetch even higher and if the Goldgenie version is anything to go by, we should be expecting it to cost around 3 to 4 grand. well, there’s only one way to find out: hitting the Porsche Design stores next month.
