If the lack of REI or Unit 00-themed version has stopped you from picking up the EVA2020 x final TWS earbuds, well, then we have good news. Rei has joined the EVA2020 x final lineup.
The EVA2020 x final True Wireless Earbuds Type-REI, as it is called, shares the same angular design that is a nod to the giant bio-mecha but in the colorway of Rei Ayanami’s plug suit, which has a base color of white, and with a light blue accent, which is the hair color of Rei.
In addition to the voice prompt voiced by NERV operator Maya Ibuki (Miki Nagasawa) and Major Misato Katsuragi (Kotono Mitsuishi), the Type-REI edition also boasts a new announcement by Rei (Megumi Hayashibara).
Beyond that, the spec-sheet details remain the same. This means an unknown driver, Qualcomm QCC3020 chipset, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C interface for charging, aptX audio support, and up to 6 hours of playtime, or up to 63 hours in total when used with the included charging case.
The EVA2020 x final True Wireless Earbuds Type-REI is available from EVA Store in Japan as well as from the final audio website, for 19,800 yen or about US$134 based on today’s going rate.
