Man, it feels like Rockstar Games just dropped that bombshell of a trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. But nope—that was over a year ago. Nearly a year and a half, if anyone’s keeping tabs. Fast forward to May 6, and the devs have dropped a brand-new trailer that fully shows off the carnage, mayhem, and, well… vice.

It’s not just another hype clip either. There are what seem to be a few Easter eggs (I think), and more importantly, we finally get a proper look at the graphics—both gameplay and cutscenes. The in-game visuals look fantastic, and the cutscenes are straight-up photorealistic. GTA has come so far, it’s kind of ridiculous.
Straight from the horse’s mouth:
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
Oh, and in case you haven’t gotten the memo—it’s Vice City all over again. Also worth noting: what you see in the trailer is exactly what you’ll get, graphics-wise. It was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5, made up of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.
Scroll on down for the goods. Oh, wait before that… you may want to know the original Fall 2025 release date has been pushed back to May 26, 2026. It will be available for PS5 as well as Xbox Series X | S.
