another year, another Samsung flagship. yes. we are talking about Sammy’s new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, unveiled at 2014 MWC earlier. visually, the S5 looks pretty much Note 3-ish, which means there isn’t much design to shout about, unless you think the textured, or rather perforated, back is something alluring (but we hardly think so). processing power comes from a 2.5GHz quad-core item, backed by 2GB of RAM, while internal storage is available in a choice of 16GB and 32GB, expandable further by 64GB via microSD card slot. this latest rendition of the Galaxy S line also gets a wee bump in screen size at 5.1″ and that’s naturally, is a Full HD Super AMOLED item.

as always, imaging was one of the emphasis and strength of Samsung’s flagship and with that, you will find a 16MP main shooter boasting UHD videoing at 30 fps and the world’s fastest autofocus speed up to 0.3 seconds. the main camera also offers HDR capability and a-la DSLR style Selective Focus feature that lets you focus on a specific subject while blurring out the background. the S5 also touts connectivity speed, extreme speed by offering WiFi 802.11ac and 2X2 MIMO, as well as supporting various LTE frequency with LTE Category 4 standard. there is also a Download Boaster feature, an innovative WiFi technology that bonds WiFi and LTE simultaneously to boost data speed.

the Samsung Galaxy S5 Smartphone will be hit the market globally in April, 2014.
