Sandrin Knives Platinum Mamba Knife

When we talk about luxury goods, knife is probably not at the back of anyone’s mind, but here it is, the Sandrin Knives Platinum Mamba Knife that is actually super luxurious – though, honestly, we don’t know why it needs to be. What makes this super luxe is not just its bespoke nature; it lies in the materials that it is made and the associated sticker.

And much are we talking about? Oh, nothing much. You’ll just have to decide between the new Porsche 911 Carrera or this. OK. I lied. You would need to sacrifice buying the new 911 AND a 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 4MATIC Coupe, or $150,000 to be precise. I am not even making this up. That’s exactly how much this lovely knife costs. So, if you are looking for a knife that fits the bill of the ultimate in opulence, this would be it and also because, diamonds and platinum.

The knife is born out of Founder & CEO of Cabot Guns (best known for “meteorite” pistols), Rob Bianchin’s curiosity of what they could create if money is no object and his desire to create “something the world has never seen before.” To answer this burning question, Bianchin call upon Alessandro Colombatto, the 2nd-generation Artisan in Tungsten Carbide at Sandrin Knives, and two years on and some 50 of the world’s most skilled and talented artisans, The Platinum Mamba is born.

It features Sandrin Knives’ patented polyhedral tungsten carbide blade that said to be the harder than any steel knife ever made, paired to 11.5 ounces of platinum handle which is inset with 320 colorless F GIA-grade diamonds, totaling no less than 14.17 karats, “artfully arranged for aesthetic delight without detracting from practical utility,” and inlaid with meticulously curved and concave handle with rare Wyoming black jade.

Practical utility, huh? I bet no one with sane mine would want to slice anything with this exquisite and exorbitantly priced knife. In fact, I think this baby here belongs inside a ballistic-grade glass display case, right smack in a room that is rigged with the world’s most advanced laser security system without ceiling vents. If you are undaunted by the price (seriously, I want to be your friend!), you can register your interest at Sandrin Knives The Platinum Mamba’s product page.
