In Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Mirage was a breakout character who practically stole the show (sorry, Bumblebee, you are so yesterday). In the movie, Mirage was a bit of sleek looking robot disguised as a 1994 Porsche, a 964 911 RS 3.8 Though I cannot say the same for its official toy, the Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 105 Autobot Mirage.
And so yes, for the first time in Transformers toyline’s history, there is a transforming Porsche automobile. I guess that makes this a worthy collectible regardless of how the bot mode looks nothing like in the movie and very possibly in demand because the toy is already marked as “sold on” on Hasbropulse.com since the books were opened on June 10. But I am sure you’d be able to get it from other toy retailers.
The Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 105 Autobot Mirage converts from a 4.5-inch robot to a Porsche 911 Carrera in 25 steps. It comes with an arm cannon that attaches to his hand. The accessory can be stowed in the vehicle mode too.
Like all Studio Series, it comes with a removable backdrop, and in the case of SS 105, it has the image of the New York City Getaway scene.
Also revealed was the Transformers Studio Series Leader Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 106 Optimus Primal. Clearly, this is a step up the Voyager class toy that is already in the market. The SS 106 is a Leader class toy which means it is highly posable, has more details, and is big.
It stands 8.5 inches tall and converts from robot to gorilla mode in 34 steps. It is supplied with the Transwarp Key, two scimitars, 2 chain pieces, and an axe – all of which can be attached in both modes. It also has a removable backdrop, featuring the Peruvian Jungle Discovery scene.
The Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 105 Autobot Mirage has a retail price of US$24.99.
The Transformers Studio Series Leader Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 106 Optimus Primal is still available to order for US$54.99, with delivery starting on December 01, 2023. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
