I believe this will be the first time in live-action Transformers history to feature a Transformers character with Porsche as its alt mode. If haven’t already heard, Autobot Mirage is a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 in its vehicle mode in the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts film.
Prior to that, Porsche is making sure that you know its ride has a part in the movie with the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts x Porsche Collection. No. You will not be able to buy the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 as seen in the movie. However, there is some sweet cobranded apparel.
The collection includes a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and a hat. Both the tee and sweatshirt feature the Autobot logo and Porsche crest at the front. The ‘PORSCHE’ logo can also be found below the neck on the back along with a large line art of, you guessed, it Mirage in his bot mode.
The cap is without Mirage’s presence but it is not subtle about its affiliation with the Autobot. It has a striking red Autobot logo against a large Monochrome Autobot background print.
The cap is a five-panel cap that features a mesh rear section for air circulation. The peak has the ‘PORSCHE’ logo in 3D. Finally, it has a FLEXFIT band on the inside of the cap to ensure a comfortable fit.
The tee, which is available in beige, is an oversized crew-neck t-shirt. It has a modern fit with dropped shoulders, and a wide, double-stitched ribbed collar. Meanwhile, the sweatshirt is an oversized crew neck sweatshirt in black. Both apparel are made of organic cotton.
The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts x Porsche Collection is suitable for dudes and dudettes and is available now from Porsche-design.com with the tee and the sweatshirt selling at US$89 and US$199, respectively, and the cap going for US$59 a pop.
