Segway Ninebot KickScooter MAX

Segway Ninebot has just introduced a new scooter called KickScooter MAX. Fortunately, despite its namesake, it does not require you to kick your way. It is an electric vehicle and one that is no shabby on the design department. Ninebot KickScooter MAX is powered by a 350W hub motor, paired to a 551 Wh battery that affords it 40 miles range on a single charge.

Unlike most scooters in the market, it is rear wheel drive and it has dual braking system, comprising of a front drum brake and rear electronic brake, to boot. Performance aspect, it makes a top speed of up to 15.5 mph (25 km/h) and it is fully capable of taking on 15 percent incline.

Other highlights include an IPX5 rated construction, aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame, fast charging that charges the battery in just 6 hours, built-in AC adapter, one-step fold down design, integrated headlight and brake light as well as kickstand, 10-inch shock-absorbing tubeless pneumatic tires, integrated bell that blends seamlessly with the left handle, and an unobtrusive, Bluetooth-enabled LED rider dashboard cleverly integrated between the stem and the handlebar unit.

The latter is, by far, the smartest looking dashboard unit we have seen. As far as design goes, Ninebot KickScooter MAX will never stack up to the Stator, but it is a sleek ride nonetheless.
