This cool baseball glove you see here is probably what the Science Patrol members would use if they ever played baseball. I don’t recall they ever did in the series, though. Anyhoo, also part of the ongoing celebration of 60 years of Ultraman, Japanese baseball equipment manufacturer SSK has released an Ultraman-themed baseball glove.
It is an adult-sized glove and is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions. It is a striking glove crafted in Ultraman’s signature colors. The red-and-gray glove features an embroidered illustration of Ultraman in the classic “flying toward the camera” pose on the inside of the glove, rounded out with Ultraman branding in Japanese embroidered on the thumb area.
Very, very cool baseball glove. So cool, you probably will not want to bring it to the field.
The glove is made of leather, and we absolutely love how the entire palm area is finished in Ultraman red. The SSK Ultraman Baseball Glove is available for pre-order for a grand 66,000 yen (tax included) [JP] (roughly US$417) from Tsuburaya Store, as well as from the SSK online store [JP].
Tsuburaya Store does support international shipping, btw, so this is not another Japan-exclusive product that folks outside of Japan can only admire from afar. It is available to anyone willing to drop the dough.
