Samsung holds the rein in the race towards the thinnest electronic gadgets and then there is Adidas who is fervently creating the lightest shoes. latest to join the rank of lightest is this pair of basketball sneakers dubbed adiZero Crazy Light. as the model suggests, it is crazy light at just 9.8 ounces (278 grams). that’s just about two iPhone 4 worth of weight. indeed, it deserved to be called crazy light.
two years in the making has made the Crazy Light 15% lighter than its nearest competitor. just exactly how Adidas managed this feat? well, they removed everything that are deemed ‘unnecessary’ and kept those that are essential for a good game of basketball. actually, there are lots of technicalities behind it and i am no shoe-maker to understand them. catch the video after the jump to find out more.
the Adidas adiZero Crazy Light is set to retail for $130 and will be available this June.

my memories of canvas hi cuts are mainly clouded by Converse items. well, it’s the most recognizable canvas shoes to date and even Will Smith in I, Robot wore it (remember “vintage 2000 converse”?). however, this upcoming Spring/Summer 2011, visvim 2-tone Gabo Hi will blew you away with its colors and materials combo. the upper portion is of dyed canvas with contrasting stitching and the ankle is of suede with a very contrasting color which will probably get your feet notice right away. yes, not you, just your feet. the visvim 2-tone Gabo Hi will come in two colors combinations: a light blue and red combo, and a brown and navy combo. no word on the pricing and the exact availability. the visvim 2-tone Gabo Hi will be available soon through selected visvim stockists worldwide.

even though it is named Adidas SLVR S-M-L Concept Shoes, this pair of sneakers is anything but a concept. thank goodness. how many times have we heard about concepts that thrilled us as fast as they could disappear? so what’s so special about this pair of sneakers? for starter, it features a 4-way stretchable mesh upper for breathability and fit, hence, it will fit most foot sizes within its three available sizes: S, M or L. clever? what can go wrong if you only have S, M and L to chose from? yeah, you have two in three chances of getting the wrong size but not to worry, Adidas has a guide on what’s the range of each size represents. other features include round two-tone laces, stretchable outsole and it’s unisex. great. no one can laugh you for donning a pair of ladies’ sneakers. the Adidas SLVR Concept Shoes retails for $140 and is available at the Adidas SLVR web store.

the collaboration between sportswear giant, Nike and menswear maestro Steven Alan gives the old Nike designs a new lease of life. unusually dubbed as the Air Zoom Lava Dome, this pair of sneakers feature exclusive colorways, fabrication, and modern tooling as touched by Steven Alan. the Lava, however, does not oozes with lava or anything that’s remotely hot but it is a 100% suede shoes accented with nylons. looks rather retro-lish to me but i like. i want, i want, i want! remember the Adidas Jeremy Scott Wings shoes that makes you look like a Greek God of Messenger? if playing God is too huge a responsibility for you, then try this new hot-rod look limited edition Adidas Jeremy Scott Flames Shoes. this pair of flaming shoes feature a full grain leather upper flame graphic that looks kind of angrily fast. sadly, running faster still requires real training (and talent, to some extent) and not from a pair of shoes but hey, image is everything, isn’t it? nevertheless, it still looks cool.. er.. i mean hot. i hope the wings are detachable like the original wings shoes. no words on how limited is the ‘limited edition’ but if you have $200 to spare, then head on to Adidas web store and grab yourself one.
