Transformers toyline offers an infinite opportunity for new products even from a single character. Take for example Optimus Prime. And now, it is a lunar cruiser too, specifically, the joint research JAXA Toyota Lunar Cruiser.

The Takara Tomy Transformers Lunar Cruiser Prime Figure, as it is called, is not the first time the toymaker has worked with JAXA. Previously, Takara Tomy helped in designing the transforming SORA-Q lunar robot which will accompany the Lunar Cruiser on the planned JAXA lunar mission.

In its alt mode, the JAXA Lunar Cruiser is an accurate recreation of the real-world Lunar Cruiser and boasts a poseable radar dish and antennae, and it comes with a solar panel that can be attached to the side of the moon vehicle. The solar panel can be attached to Optimus Prime’s back in bot mode or on his shoulder.
