Tanknarok Twin-stick Shooter Video Game

Ragnarok, in Norse mythology, is the cataclysmic destruction of the cosmos through a series of events. Basically, a series of events that lead to end of the world. The Tanknarok is not it. OK, it is almost like it.

Tanknarok is a video game that has up to four tanks going head-to-head and blast each other till kingdom come. Make no mistake. This is no World of Tanks. While it probably is as “explosive” as WoT, but it is violently adorable.

Think of Tanknarok as the modern take of the classic Tank Battalion, but modern day graphics and played at super high speed.

Here’s the official description:

“TANKNAROK is a high speed, frenzied blastathon where 2-4 tanks go head to head in a wide range of arenas; filled to the brim with huge guns, powerful explosions and dangerous hazards! Wholesome roughhousing with either your friends at home, or friendly strangers on the internet!”

I think the best part of the game is, while it supports playing with friends, you can also choose to play alone against bots. Perfect for bot person like yours truly!

The game supports 2-4 players and offers over 90 dangerous arenas across 7 different themes, and loads of power-ups.

Tanknarok is brainchild of Norwegian indie developer Polyblock Studio. It started as a student bachelor thesis back in Spring 2018, under the name Combat 2018, and two years on, it has evolved into Tanknarok. Tanknarok will be available on Steam on June 16, 2020, for a yet to be announced price.
