Thanks to development like the ARK from Exod, camping does not necessary mean sleeping on the ground. Camping gets elevated, away from the creepy crawlies that would love to share the cozy space with you. But hanging tents aren’t the only way to get off the ground. Sleeping on the roof of the car is another awesome way.

TEDPoP Pop-up Hardshell Rooftop Tent

The TEDPoP Pop-up Hardshell Rooftop Tent is one such product that will let you do just that. Obviously, pop-up roof tent is not new. But not every make and model car has one. The TEDPoP Pop-up Hardshell Rooftop Tent solves that. It is for every car. Well, almost every car.

Developed by South Korea outdoor brand TEDS, TEDPoP rooftop tent is currently the largest hard shell RTT. It can accommodates, believe or not, up to 5 people. It boasts 2 extension panels that enable the extra roof-top real estate and the tent itself offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding, and a thermal composition layer that completely eliminates condensation.

TEDS claims that TEDPoP is the “world’s first and only pop-up dual expandable hardshell rooftop tent.” We can verify if that is true, but judging from the number of people supporting it on Kickstarter. It is probably true.

You are looking at least US$3,290 to secure one. The good news is, the campaign is fully funded and hence, a pledge for a product is a pre-order which TEDS will deliver sometime in September 2021.
