You probably never get the opportunity to race with the Evangelion Racing Team, let alone get near any of its super cool Neon Genesis Evangelion-themed race cars. But that does not mean you cannot own the race cars, well, in collectible die-cast models, that is.

That’s right. The Tomica Evangelion Racing collection has just expanded, adding three eye-catching rides that are equal parts sci-fi flair and motorsport nostalgia. Leading the charge is the EVA RT Test Type-01 Honda NSX, a pint-sized tribute to the machine that tore up tracks in the 2023 Super Taikyu Series.
Draped in iconic purple and green metallic paint, this die-cast delight is detailed down to its zinc alloy soul and priced at 1,400 yen [JP]. It’s a steal—assuming you can stop swooning over the color scheme long enough to open your wallet.
Not to be outdone, the EVA RT First and Second Unit Nissan Fairlady Zs have joined the squad. Modeled after cars showcased at the Moriya GT Grand Prix and NISMO Festival, these little racers bring a dash of Evangelion’s aesthetic to your desk, shelf, or (let’s be real) Zoom backdrop.

Like their NSX sibling, these Fairladys are rendered in sharp detail, ready to charm collectors and three-year-olds alike—assuming they don’t start fighting over them. Each Fairlady Z also clocks in at 1,400 yen [JP].
Whether you’re a die-hard Evangelion fan or just someone with a thing for flashy toy cars, these Tomica creations deliver a neon-drenched slice of racing cool. Now all that’s left is deciding who wins: Shinji in the NSX, or Asuka in the Fairlady Z. Spoiler alert—it’s whoever grabs them first.
