The Tornado Updraft 12 RC Kit features a classic self-build design that should delight DIY and crafting enthusiasts. When assembled, the barebone airplane resembles your childhood rubber band-powered balsa wooden plane.

But thanks to PowerUp 4.0, it will have a sustained flight – way more than the Wright brother’s first powered flight and more than a rubber bands-powered flight ever could offer – and you will have actual control over where it is headed and its altitude.

With up to 10 minutes of flight time, it features an onboard flight computer, autopilot assist, gyro and accelerometer with fly-by-wire capability, and flight telemetry stats.

The two rear-facing propellers provide powerful thrust even in less than ideal weather while LED lights make night flying possible. It has landing gear too, for smooth taking off and landing.

The remote control is realized through the PowerUp 4.0 app for Android or iOS. Bluetooth connectivity affords it a range of 240 feet or 73 meters
