Another combiner is set to join the Age of the Primes toy line. Joining the likes of Menasor, Devastator, Superion, and the reissue of 2018’s Power of the Primes Predaking is yet another Decepticon combiner, Bruticus. Like the previous combiners, each member will slowly roll out, and so getting the combined figure will spill over into 2026.
Since its March reveal at Toy Fair 2025, the Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Combaticon Vortex has been released. Fast forward to September, the Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Combaticon Blast Off was revealed, and then last month, the Transformers Age of the Primes Voyager Class Combaticon Brawl joined the roster.
Vortex is a 14 cm (5.5 inches) tall figure that transforms from robot to helicopter in 19 steps. The toy features a detachable propeller and comes with three blaster accessories that can be attached to the figure in both modes. It will form the left arm of Bruticus. No mention of how many points of articulation, though. The Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Combaticon Vortex is available now for US$27.99.
Next up is the Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Combaticon Blast Off. Also standing 14 cm (5.5 inches) tall, this Deluxe Class figure transforms from a robot action figure to a space shuttle in 17 steps and comes with three blaster accessories, which can be attached in both modes. It has a third mode, and that is the right arm of Bruticus. The number of articulation points is not known.
Finally, the latest—and third—member of Bruticus is the Transformers Age of the Primes Voyager Class Combaticon Brawl. It is strangely a Voyager Class figure despite being the same size as Vortex and Blast Off. But it does have a slightly more complex transformation—taking 23 steps to go from bot mode to tank mode. It comes with a blaster accessory, plus a double cannon and main gun—all of which can be attached to the figure in both modes. Again, no mention of the articulation points. Brawl’s third mode is the left leg of Bruticus.
The Transformers Age of the Primes Deluxe Class Combaticon Blast Off and Transformers Age of the Primes Voyager Class Combaticon Brawl will sell for US$27.99 and US$42.99, respectively, when they become available starting February 01, 2026. Pre-orders on Hasbropulse.com are listed as ‘sold out’, but I believe you can still secure copies of the toys from major toy retailers.
