Another news relating to the upcoming live-action Transformers movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. In addition to the Transformers Studio Series Airazor, Cheetor, Arcee, and Terrorcon Freezer pre-orders, Hasbro has recently opened the books for the Transformers Studio Series Leader 101 Scourge.
For folks who are unfamiliar, Scourge is the leader of the Terracons and the main antagonist in the ROTB. So no, it is not the G1 Scourge we saw in the 86’s animated movie and it is certainly not related to the dark Optimus Prime known as Scourge.
Scourge and the Terrocons will face off against the Autobots in a battle for the Transwarp Key in the movie. Oops. Is considered a spoiler? If it is, we apologize.
Anyhoo, the Leader Class toy stands at 8.5 inches (about 22 cm) and converts from a robot to a menacing truck in 31 steps.
The toy is inspired by Scourge’s appearance in the movie, featuring movie-inspired details, including the various faction badges, apparently from Scourge’s kills, on his vehicle mode’s grill.
The figure comes with 3 accessories, including a blade accessory, a detachable blaster as well as a claw hand attachment. As expected of a Studio Series figure, it also comes with a removable backdrop display depicting the Attack of the Museum scene.
The Transformers Studio Series Leader 101 Scourge is available to order now, for US$54.99 a pop, with shipping expected to happen sometime starting June 01, 2023. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
