At this point, I am starting to think Transformers characters are just actors from Cybertron. How else do you explain Optimus Prime being a steampunk train, and Starscream, a steampunk aircraft, and then they were something else previously, like, you know, a cab-over semi truck and an F-15 Eagle fighter jet in G1 continuity.

So yes, Prime and Screamer are back in another timeline. This time, the Autobots’ leader is a Samurai robot disguised as, wait for it… an ox cart, and the Decepticons’ second-in-command is a robot disguised as a falcon. Also, yes, it appears that Starscream’s alt mode is a retool of Airazor. But that shouldn’t come as a surprise.
The Transformers Timelines Optimus Prime and Starscream includes a 14 cm (5.5 inches) tall Samurai Optimus Prime action figure that converts to an ox cart in 27 steps, and a 12.5 cm (5 inches) tall Starscream that transforms into a falcon in 20 steps. Each poseable figure is furnished with accessories, including a naginata spear accessory for Prime and a Tengu fan weapon, plus two flintlock rifle accessories for Starscream.
Now I am half-expecting Megatron and Bumblebee from this timeline to show up soon. The Transformers Timelines Optimus Prime and Starscream action figure set will be available starting April 01, 2026, for US$67.99. If anyone’s interested, the set is available for pre-order from hasbropulse.com.
