If very much prefer something more contemporary over vintage style Transformers toys, then, this news should tickle your fancy. Takara Tomy, the other half of the Transformers franchise in Japan, has put out official details on a new upcoming Transformers War For Cybertron: Kingdom figure. And it is none other than Rodimus Prime.
The character is undeniable controversial. Some people hate him to getting Prime killed. Some argued that he did not (lead to Prime’s death). But whatever it is, the toy of him taking the helm to lead the Autobots in rebuilding Cybertron after being offered the Matrix of Leadership is here, or soon to be available.
The Transformers War For Cybertron: Kingdom KD-12 Rodimus Prime is a Cybertronian trailer truck in his alt-mode. It can be take on as a Cybertronian sports car separately as well and transformed into a robot mode and the trailer, into a battle station with a manned gun turret. Basically the classic Rodimus Prime, but with a more up-to-date look.
Hasbro has not announced it though, but Takara Tomy already did and as per Takara Tomy’s listing, the toy will arrive in August 2021 for 14,300 yen (or roughly US$131). Recommended for ages 15 and up.
