the Man of Steel hype might have subsided, but that’s only for the rest of world, while fans of this big screen rendition of the comic superhero can continue to celebrate the “brief-less” Man of Steel with this rad Man of Steel Leather Suit serves up by UD Replicas. first previewed at the San Diego Comic-Con in July, the UD Replicas Man of Steel Leather Costume comprises of three parts: the leather jacket, pants, and boots and are available for pre-order from now till December 14, 2013 for a costume-princely sum of $1,325, or you can purchase them separately with the boots going for $229 a pair, $398 for the pants, and a cool $698 for the jacket. unfortunately, this sales is only open to U.S. and Canada residents only.
features include Superman chest logo and belt buckle, trim detailing made from injection-molded, flexible rubber body armor, removable collar, form-molded leather muscle groups in the front torso, back, shoulders and biceps, front thigh muscle groups, red-suede leather boots with raised silicone chain-mail design. the leather jacket and pants is presented in deep-blue suede leather just like the one worn by Henry Cavill in the movie. with the faux muscle groups included, you basically have everything you need to look like the Man of Steel without sweating it out at the gym, well, except that this set doesn’t come with a cape. anyway, haven’t you heard? cape is a bad idea for any superhero or villain and a hazard to jet engine when flying (not that you can actually take to the sky with this suit, but just saying…), and also motorcycle.
speaking of which, if you ride a bike, this suit also include removable CE-approved body armor in the forearms, elbow, shoulder and back-spine of the jacket, plus sides, knees and shins of the pants. hardcore fans of the Man of Steel might also be interested to know that there is also a “dream sequence” version of the suit in all black and gray hues, going at the same price.
