Not surprisingly, the the Mi TV LUX 82″ Pro is loaded with premium tech and it includes the ability to output true 8K quality images regardless of input method, 5G support, USB 3.0, HDMI 2.1 and Ethernet ports.
The Pro model further features Mini LED backlight technology that, along with the 960 segmented backlight system, offers an eye-blinding 8,000 nits of max brightness and a max contrast ratio of 400,000:1.
Quantum dots technology is the mix too, affording it to offer 98% P3 color gamut. It has a pair of independent sounders with custom-designed speaker layout that supports Dolby Atmos too. These speakers will automatically slide out from either sides to pump out immersive sound.
The Pro model further boasts a NFC-equipped remote that would allow casting of video from smartphones simply by touching it.
The Mi TV LUX 82”, on the other hand, is the more affordable option because, it is “only” has 4K resolution. Its massive 82-inch display supports Dolby Vision and it is certified to all HDR standards, including HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, and even HLG.
The display puts a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and the TV further supports high contrast ratio, Dolby Atmos, and HDMI 2.1.
Both Mi TV LUX 82” Pro and Mi TV LUX 82” runs on Android with MIUI for TV UI overlaid on top. This means it can serve as a central hub for all Xiaomi IoT devices, has Xiaomi’s assistant XiaoAi AI assistant 3.0 and far-field voice control.
