You may heard that it is arriving. Well, the Mi Watch Color is finally official. And yes, it came hot on the heels of the Mi Watch announced last November. That’s barely three months if anyone’s counting.
Just to be clear, the Mi Watch Color IS NOT a follow up. That’s will be stupid. The Color, as its name hinted, has its cross hair on a different target market. Specifically, the young and trendy.
The first hint would be the the namesake and the second, the price of 799 yuan (about $115), which is a whopping 500 RMB (or around $72) lesser than the Apple Watch-like Mi Watch.
Distinguishing itself from the Mi Watch is the obvious round watch face as opposed to the rather controversial rectangular Apple Watch lookalike face. Strangely, Xiaomi make no mention of the processor. This means we have no idea the amount of RAM it has, nor was the storage known.
However, we do know it has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display of 454 x 454 pixels, a stainless steel case, interchangeable watch bands, Bluetooth 5.0, built-in GPS, built-in mic, voice assistant support, a bunch of sensors (you know, the usual stuff like heart rate, NFC et cetera), a 420 mAh battery with a claimed 14 days use and it is waterproof to 5 ATM (50 meters or 164 feet).
Xiaomi Mi Watch Color Smartwatch is now selling in China.
