We seldom talk about Xiaomi TVs these days, but as someone who owns the non-Pro Xiaomi TV S Mini LED, let me just say this: that TV is ridiculously good for what it costs. So when Xiaomi announced the new Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED 85 2026, it naturally caught my attention. Logically speaking, it should be better, right? On paper, it absolutely is. It is a huge bump from the non-Pro model, which is already on the market.

The new Xiaomi TV S Pro 85 Mini LED [CH] is slimmer, brighter, faster, and just an all-around overachiever that makes most living rooms look underqualified. It features an 85-inch wide-angle, low-reflection Mini LED display framed by a 4.6 mm ultra-narrow bezel and 0.9 mm borders, which is basically “borderless” in TV language.
Peak brightness has been bumped to a retina-searing 5,200 nits, with 52,000,000:1 dynamic contrast and 10.7 billion colors at ΔE≈1 accuracy. In plain English, that means your eyes will probably believe you’ve stepped into the movie. Xiaomi even threw in Filmmaker Mode for studio-grade accuracy and a 130° viewing angle for those who refuse to sit front and center.
This monster is armed with a native 165 Hz refresh rate that can crank up to 330 Hz in eSports Mode, running on Xiaomi’s custom XM9000 image chip. It also supports VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and 4K 120 Hz MEMC, all designed to keep motion buttery smooth whether you’re gaming or watching F1 replays. Latency drops below 4 ms, so even your cat can’t outreact you.
Audio gets the Pro treatment, too. The setup now pushes 2.1.2 channels with 71 W output, Harman AudioEFX tuning, and Dolby Atmos support. That’s up from the non-Pro’s basic 2.1 setup. It even has two upward-firing “sky channels” for immersive sound, because explosions should sound like they’re actually happening above your head.

Despite the insane power, the Pro is sleek—5 mm wall mount, brushed metal body, and a minimalist rear panel that screams premium. It uses Xiaomi’s Qingshan EyeCare tech to reduce blue light, and millimeter-wave radar that automatically dims or wakes the display when it detects you leaving or returning to the room.
Under the hood, the TV benefits from a 4-core A73 flagship chip, bolstered by 4 GB + 64 GB of memory. Powered by HyperOS 3, it boots faster, runs smoother, and syncs effortlessly with other Xiaomi gear like the 14 Ultra, MIX Fold 4, and Pad 6. It can even display live feeds from your smart doorbell while you’re bingeing.
The TV is loaded in the connectivity department, too. There are three HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 6, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, optical, and AV input. It also has an antenna connection if you are still into snatching signals from the air (for free-to-air channels).
And then there are the details that make this TV stand out from its competitors. One such detail is the blade-style stand that has two levels of height adjustment. You can choose between 68 mm height if you plan to place a soundbar in front of the TV, or go low (at 28 mm) for a sleeker look if there isn’t a soundbar. Now that, my friends, is attention to detail.

Another detail is the cable management, which actually is cable management. Notwithstanding the TV’s thin profile, Xiaomi managed to make way for channels on the back to direct the power cable on the left of the TV, and the various other cables on the right of the TV to the center. In case your wall socket is on the left, you can also choose to route the power cable down the blade-style stand.
No official pricing for the global market yet, but judging from Xiaomi’s track record, the Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED 85 2026 will probably undercut most premium rivals while flexing specs that make them blush. Meanwhile, the TV has been launched in China for 8,299 yuan [CH] (~1,166 USD).
