I know right. Hasbro Transformers can be a bit of child’s play and sometimes even Masterpiece won’t cut it. So if you want an accurate representation of the bot, a statue is the way to go. And if Galvatron is your thing (not the blasphemous Bay-verse version), Singapore-based collectible statue maker XM Studios has just the thing for you: XM Studios Galvatron 10th Scale Statue.
Obviously, this iteration of Galvatron, while leans heavily on the G1 era design, has a lot more details than its cartoon counterpart but hey, it does look good, doesn’t it? For this particular statue, XM Studios draw inspiration from the battle scene between Hot Rod and the herald of Unicron for the Matrix of Leadership and hence, the similar base Unicron-inspired base as XM Studios’ Hot Rod statue.
Each statue is handcrafted in polystone and hand-painted with the brand’s renowned quality finish. The statue features light-up eyes and 4 arm switch-outs that allow it to be displayed with Galvatron holding the included Matrix of Leadership with an adjustable chain, or with it hanging around the neck while shooting forward.
It also comes supplied with a small sculpt of Galvatron alternate mode which is kind of a self-propelled space cannon for displaying alongside Galvatron.
This a big and hefty statue. It measures 75 cm (29.5 inches) tall, 70 cm (27.6 inches) wide, and 55 cm (21.7 inches) deep, and it tips the scales at 50 kilograms (110 pounds).
The advanced pre-order period starts from March 28 to May 01, 2023. Regular pre-orders will begin right after, on May 02, 12 PM Singapore Time. Customers who pre-order before April 17, 2023, 12 PM Singapore Time will receive a collectible Display Plaque.
Advanced pre-orders will also enjoy S$200 off, at S$2,399 (about US$1,804). While regular pre-order is S$2,599 (roughly US$1,954). Because of the weight and the massive size, shipping can cost nearly half of the statue price for N.A. territories. My suggestion is to seek out your country’s distributor. For the USA, that would be GFX Distribution. However, I don’t believe GFX has listed this item yet.
