Personally, I am not huge on stylized Transformers characters, but if you are into this sort of art, well, then you will want to check out the new XM Studios Transformers Optimus Prime Azure Dragon. The Singapore-based collectible statue maker recently dropped a statue that takes the legendary Autobot leader to a mythical level. Folks, this is the XM Studios Transformers Optimus Prime Azure Dragon.
Part of XM’s Mythical Beasts Series, this statue fuses Optimus Prime with the divine power of the Azure Dragon, guardian of the East and embodiment of Wood. So yes, Optimus Prime now comes with dragon motifs on his helmet’s mohawk, chest, and even his windshield frame. He’s basically wearing Tang dynasty power armor, complete with dragon-head shoulder guards, phoenix-inspired crests, and mountain-pattern etching all over. Subtle? Not really. Awesome? Absolutely.
His weapons have also gone full myth mode: the Energon-axe is now a mechanical jieyue halberd-axe, and his Sword of Judgment has been reimagined as Tang-style ceremonial blades. There are even ornate thrusters with scrollwork; in case you forgot, this is Optimus Prime, not Guan Yu. The base depicts a meteor strike with swirling debris, because why not?
Specs-wise, the beast is 95 x 68 x 88 cm (37.4 x 26.8 x 34.6 in), and it tips the scales at 50 kg (110 lbs). Light-up features cover Optimus’s eyes, dragon eyes, and shoulders—but, in true collector pain, no batteries are included.
The statue comes in Color (SG$2,588), Gold (SG$2,888), and Shadow (SG$2,888) editions, with pre-orders open from September 18 to October 15, 2025.
