Some people love their car so much that they wish they could drive it straight into the living. Unfortunately, not all rich people is can do that. But there exists an alternative – if you intend to buy a Ferrari. The caveat here is, it is not drivable; it is a scale model.
Thanks to a partnership between scale model maker Amalgam Collection and the Italian sports car maker, Ferrari customers can now buy a matching Amalgam Collection model of their supercar at Ferrari dealerships.
The option to buy a bespoke scale model version of the Ferrari supercar is extended to buyers of Ferrari Roma, 812 Superfast, 812 GTS, Portofino M, SF90 Stradale or SF90 Spider. The models offer will expand as Ferrari adds more models to its vehicle portfolio.
As far as the scale model goes, customers can choose between 1:8 or 1:12 scale. The latter is something new to Amalgam and exclusive to Ferrari customers. Each model packs over 1,000 parts, with each component hand-cast in prototype resin.
But what really makes this offer stands out from off-the-shelf varieties is, “it is guaranteed to capture the specific spec of the customer’s car,” right down to the paint job which will be done based on the paint mixing codes supplied to Amalgam Collection by Ferrari.
So, yeah, having a scale version of the exact same ride is the closest most people will ever get to parking their beloved Prancing Horse ride in the living. That, or you could just pick a ready-made model from the Amalgam’s vast collection. The choice is yours.
