Fans of Michael Bay’s live-action Transformers movies who have pockets as deep as space itself may be interested to know that a one-of-a-kind Transformers automobile is hitting the market. Although it’s not an officially licensed car, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse “Transformers” fits the fandom perfectly as it was Drift’s disguise on Earth in “Transformers: Age of Extinction.”
While it may not be a movie car, which would make it super collectible, the car itself is quite a collectible for two reasons: it was one of just 92 Grand Sport Vitesse models built and it was discontinued in 2014, making it quite rare on its own. Additionally, it boasts a couple of one-off Transformers-themed features that will be worthy of any super-rich Transformers fan’s garage.
Despite Drift’s Bugatti being loud in both looks and sound, it still kind of blends in with the rest of Earth’s rides. However, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse “Transformers” screams “Hey look! This is a Transformers ride!” with a huge Autobot emblem seamlessly integrated into a unique motif that covers the front and sides of the vehicle.
In the spirit of Drift, the entire car is, of course, in blue. The interior is also blue with hints of the motif found on the exterior and my favorite feature: a custom Autobot logo at the back between the two seats.
This Grand Sport Vitesse was specially commissioned by its original owner, who was a huge fan of the Bayformers. It was acquired by its current owner 8 years ago and has been driven just under 5,200 kilometers (3,231 miles) from new. The car is registered in Andorra and located in Madrid, Spain. It was last serviced by Bugatti Munich in 2022.
This exotic ride is currently enrolled in Bugatti’s Passeport Tranquillité service program, which expires in December 2024. For those uninitiated, Bugatti’s Passeport Tranquillité service program is designed to keep your Bugatti in good condition after the regular manufacturer’s warranty expires.
Now for the good news: The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse “Transformers” is going on the block in a sealed auction from May 02-04, 2024. The auction will open on May 01 at 05:00 PM BST (GMT+1). Estimates are available upon request.
