If you are a superfan of Batman and collect everything Batman-related, then you will want to be at the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 (July 25 — July 28, 2024) — especially, on Wednesday, July 24, or if you cannot make it in person, you may want to camp out on MattelCreations.com on Thursday, July 25, at 9 AM PT.
Why? Because of this: Hot Wheels 85th Anniversary Batmobile Collection. This set of 1/64 (I think!) collectibles contains 6 iconic Batmobiles pulled from film, TV, and animation, each accompanied by a miniature Batman figure.
The 6 vehicles include the Classic TV Series from 1966 to 1968, Batman (1989), Batman: The Animated Series from 1992, Batman Forever (1995), Batman Begins (2005), and The Batman (2022).
All six vehicles and miniature figures come in a long acrylic display case divided with parking spots for each vehicle. Each “parking spot” is set against a headshot of Batman’s appropriate to the year, presented in its side view.
The collection is presented in a yellow and black protective shell featuring the Bat Signal. It is a well-presented box that does not require unpackaging it to appreciate each die-cast model and its accompanying figure.
The Hot Wheels 85th Anniversary Batmobile Collection is set to drop on July 25, 2024, at 9 AM PT on creations.mattel.com, or on July 24 at SDCC. The asking price is 50 USD. A pretty modest asking price if you ask me. There is no mention of scale. But it is safe to assume it is 1/64. I could be wrong though.
