Forget the special liquid carbon model Ford GT. If you want a piece of Ford’s racing heritage, you will want the 2021 Ford GT Heritage Edition. This exotic ride exists to celebrate the storied 1966 Daytona win.
2021 Ford GT Heritage Edition is presented in Frozen White with exposed carbon fiber, functional cooling ducts and very importantly, Race Red livery that pays homage to the 55th anniversary of the epic race.
Only 40 examples are being offered with production slated to happen between 2021 and 2022 model years.
Other noteworthy features include one-piece Heritage Gold 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, red lacquered Brembo monoblock brake calipers, a lightweight driver-centric interior boasting anodized red paddle shifters, red Alcantara suede performance seats, and black Alcantara suede wrapping on instrument panel, headliner and steering wheel.
If those aren’t enough, there is the optional Heritage Upgrade Package that includes 20-inch exposed carbon fiber wheels with a unique gloss red-painted inner accent barrel, black lacquered monoblock brake calipers detailed with red Brembo branding, ghosted 98 roundels, and carbon fiber door panels.
In the event you didn’t managed to secure one of the 40 rides available, Ford Performance is also offering some customizable options for your “regular” Ford GT.
At this point, pricing detail hasn’t been released yet. Then again, if a person who is considering buying this special edition Ford GT, he or she wouldn’t be so concerned about price, would he or she? Probably not.
