You don’t need to be rich to appreciate the new 2021 Lamborghini Huracán STO – Super Trofeo Omologata. Though it does help if you are super rich because, damn, this car looks so gorgeous, both aesthetically and under the hood, that you will want one.
With 2021 Lamborghini Huracán STO, the Italian supercar maker brings race-proven Huracán GT3 to the roads. It has the DNA of the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO and GT3 EVO race cars, featuring Lamborghini lightweight solution with superior aerodynamics and, of course, race car engineering, for the most unadulterated race car driving experience on the streets.
Power is derived from a naturally aspirated V10 unit that produces an angry 640 horsepower and 565 Nm (417 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 RPM. With the help of a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission with variable shift characteristics via ANIMA and mechanical self-locking differential, the power is put to good use at the rear wheels that allows the craziest Huracán yet to rocket from naught to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in mere 3 seconds and sending it on its way to a terminal speed of 310 km/h (193 mph).
Other performance features include an aluminum and carbon fiber hybrid chassis, aluminum and composite body, aluminum double-wishbone suspension, “MagneRide” electromagnetic damper control, option to turn off ESC, electromechanical power steering, rear-wheel-steering, aluminum calipers (6-pod front and 4-pod rear), ventilated and cross drilled CCM-R Carbon-ceramic discs, and 20-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza rubbers (245/30 R20 front and 305/30 R20 rear).
First deliveries of the 2021 Lamborghini Huracán STO Supercar will commence in spring 2021 with a suggested retail price of US$327,838 (€249,412 or £216,677). More details available at Lamborghini.com.
