Why have a ‘playable’ giant AT-AT in your backyard that your neighbors will likely call the police or HOA on you, or a boring static piece on your lawn that sees the day of light only once a year when you can ride one? You heard that right, my fans, someone has built a ride-on AT-AT. And mind you, this ain’t no kiddie ride.
Former toy designer and YouTube maker who has a thing for 3D printing giant components, James Bruton, has built a ride-on AT-AT. Don’t worry. It is a one-person ride and can go very, very, very slowly, and therefore it is no threat to Hoth or anyone. Besides it does not have functional heavy laser cannons and repeating blasters. But yes, it will also kneel in submission if a Snowspeeder does a tow cable run around it.
Anyhoo, the amazing part is that this thing can actually take a grown person’s weight and still move. It can not only walk; it can turn too. Control is achieved using a remote control unit. No word on how James got up there. I don’t believe it was shown in the video. He probably uses a jet pack. Nah, just kidding. Probably a ladder.
