When it comes to Hasbro Marvel Legends Series action figures, we hardly considered them collectibles, but here we are referring them to as such. What makes six particular figures from the new wave of Marvel Legends Series stand out is, they are part of Marvel’s Build-A-Figure (BAF) line that lets you build Chris Hemsworth’s Thor as seen in Avengers: Endgame. In other words, you will be getting the hangover, scruffy Fat Thor – complete in his couch getup composed of pajama bottom, gray hoodie and bathrobe.
What amazes me is, this BAF figure even comes with two head sculpts. Now, we are talking, Hasbro! As with previous BAF line, you will need to acquire all six ‘designated’ action figures to complete Fat Thor. Along with each of the six action figures is a body part of the seventh figure, which is the lovable Fat Thor. So, which are the six Marvel Legends Series action figures that has a piece of Fat Thor? Well, they are as follows:
• Marvel Legends Series Avengers: Endgame Captain America
• Marvel Legends Series Avengers: Endgame Iron Patriot
• Marvel Legends Series Avengers: Endgame Iron Man LXXXV
• Marvel Legends Series Avengers: Endgame Valkyrie
• Marvel Legends Series Avengers: Infinity War Heimdall Figure
• Marvel Legends Series Captain America: Civil War Vision
Looking at the lineup, it not hard to see why those characters each carried a part of Fat Thor. OK, maybe not quite for Iron Patriot which I don’t see any relation save for him being a teammate in Avengers with Thor. Almost all of the characters are closely related to Thor. Like Stark and Rogers were close in the MCU’s Avengers, while Heimdall and Valkyrie had been key loyalists to the God of Thunder.
Anywho, if the prospect of being able to bag scruffy Thor did not drive you to pick up the six action figures, then I suppose you can’t call yourself a major fan of Thor or Avengers: Endgame. I know for sure, I am down. But there’s just one problem. Getting the so-called seventh figure is not going to be cheap. At $19.99 a pop, it may not sound like much, but it adds up to well over a hundred bucks. Then again, it should way more affordable than a more detailed version from Hot Toys if the toy maker were to roll out one. Decision. Decision.
We are not quite sure if this will be flying off the shelves, but in case that you fear missing bagging it, you may want to secure the six figures by pre-ordering them on Hasbro Pulse.
