A Bathing Ape is riding on the Lunar New Year waves in Japan. It has announced a BAPE 1st Camo Print Brocade China Jacket in time to celebrate the Lunar New Year. It is a modern take of a traditional changshan, or rather, should I say a true jacket version of the traditional changshan.
It has the key features that makes a Chinese jacket, including side pockets, fabric button loops and Chinese collar. But like I said, it is really a jacket take where else traditional changshan does not quite look like jackets, IMHO.
Anywho, the BAPE 1st Camo Print Brocade China Jacket will drop at BAPE Japan locations on January 25 – the same day as Dr. Martens x BAPE 1460 Remastered will be made available. Pricing is not known at this point. Then again, it is not like anyone will be flying to Japan to grab one. Right?
