Meanwhile, across the vast Pacific Ocean and a bunch of nations, in Australia, a.k.a. down under, Barbie fans are getting a treat: a Barbie Club 59-exclusive Barbie Signature DC Wonder Woman Barbie Doll. Celebrating 85 years of Amazonian power, this Barbie doll pays tribute to Diana—Amazonian warrior, Princess of Themyscira, and iconic DC protagonist—with a highly collectible Barbie doll garbed in the oh-so-nostalgic costume.

The costume, inspired by one of her classic comic-book looks, features a tube-top bodysuit complete with transparent straps to hold it up, so it will not accidentally slip and distract her enemies, thereby giving her an unfair advantage. Heroes fight a fair fight. Wait. Are you asking about the tube top? Nah, that’s perfectly normal attire. For the record, the tight underpants with stars are perfectly normal for superheroes, also.
Jokes aside, the doll gets the works as far as the getup goes. The signature red bodysuit features a golden eagle emblem on the chest and a golden stylized “W” waist belt. She also gets the requisite red boots, and, wait a minute… are those stockings? Hmmm.
Anyhoo, classic Wonder Woman is also equipped with her tiara, a pair of Bracelets of Submission, and the Lasso of Truth. The Barbie Signature DC Wonder Woman Barbie Doll is designed by Bill Greening and Stone Procaccino, with Diana Leto responsible for the retro-licious packaging.
If I can be honest, I will buy two. One to display her in her various classic poses, and one in her packaging. The default pose in the packaging looks really, really cool. Like she is prepping for action.
Anyhoo, this doll falls under the Black Label, btw. Oh, it uses the Louboutin face sculpt, and she, of course, has the body type of a superhero. As before, the doll cannot actually stand on its own, so it has a doll stand to help it achieve poses. Finally, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Barbie Signature DC Wonder Woman Barbie Doll is available now from Mattel Creations Australia for AU$125.99 (about US$88) plus AU$16 for a one-year membership if you don’t already have one. The product is expected to start shipping on or before April 2026.
