Well, what do you know? It turns out that Rolls-Royce isn’t the only luxury automaker that is abuzz in the honey business. Bentley is in it too. Bentley is marking its five years of honey bees at its Excellence Centre for Honey Production based at the marque’s Crewe headquarters this year.
Celebrating this occasion, the British marque offers 500 jars of Black Edition honey collected from the two oldest hives. Additionally, 1,000 jars of ‘regular’ honey are gathered from 15 remaining hives. The celebration extends to the branding on the jars of both the Black Editon and regular edition which have been rebranded with unique labeling by Bentley’s in-house design team.
Bentley’s sweet endeavor was made possible with ‘Buckley Bees’ where more than 400,000 Bentley bees were newly employed this year (2023) to reach a colony of 1 million in total. That’s a lot of busy bees for the environment and honey.
Buckley’s Bees is a family-run, professional beekeepers in the UK who is committed to reversing the decline of the bee population. It is unclear where you can pick up the honey though. I was inclined to think it would be offered to Bentley customers first but I could be wrong.
